How to Clear iPhone iOS 7 Contacts from Email Addresses

Would you like to hide email contacts from iPhone contacts? It can be quickly achieved if you have updated to iOS 7. It is often true that the contacts list you are using has different information including the contacts that come from Mail application. There is a method that allows hiding this email list and show you clean iOS 7 contacts lists.

For example, when I am trying to SMS or make a phone call I am doing everything much quicker without having to go through all the contacts list which is way too long if it includes my friends from Facebook and email. Luckily, Apple’s latest operating system has a solution to this issue.

Follow these simple steps and you will remove email friends from contacts on iOS 7 iPhone.

Method 1.

You can perform everything from Settings menu. Just select Mail, Contact, Calendars menu and turn off Contacts for all the email accounts you have.

Method 2.

If the first method looks complicated to you, there is a faster way to complete the task. There are multiple ways how you can hide email contacts because iOS 7 firmware version makes groups for the email accounts. If you launch apps on updated iPhone like Contacts or Phone program [select Contacts option in this case], you can simply hide email contacts. Just select Groups option which is located in the top left corner of your Contacts menu.

Look at the email accounts you have. It doesn’t matter if you are using Yahoo or Gmail as your main service. You will see a group of contacts with the check boxes next to them. Click to remove this check for the accounts you wish to hide and that’s it.

Doesn’t it sound simple? You can now arrange your iOS 7 contacts list the way you like with an opportunity to get emails for your contacts at any moment by going to Groups option and adding the group of email contacts to your main list.
