How to Hide iOS 8 Contacts on My iPhone [Favorites and Recents]

iOS 8 iPhone has a lot of tips and tricks you can use to improve your everyday smartphone use. Some users do not like it when they get fast access to their recent and favorite contacts in the multitasking tray also know as the app switcher. It is possible to hide contacts on iOS 8 in this tray and disable iPhone favorites and recents this way.

In order to disable iPhone recents and turn off this feature you should follow a simple instruction. It works on all models that support iOS 8 firmware version, including the most recent iPhone 6 and 6 Plus which are the most popular gadgets in Apple line of devices right now.

How to Hide Contacts on My iPhone in iOS 8 App Switcher

Step 1. The recent / favorite contacts can be hidden from the multitasking tray by one or both at once. All the adjustments can be done in your Settings so launch it.

Step 2. You should keep scrolling down until you find the menu called Mail, Contacts, Calendar.

Step 3. When you are inside the menu, continue scrolling and click on Contacts – Show in App Switcher.

Step 4. Once you are inside this sub-menu you can play with toggles and enable / disable iPhone Recents and Phone Favorites. Do what you like and get back to your Home screen.

You have successfully hiden the contacts from your app switcher and they will be no longer visinger when you open the multitasking tray.
