With a new jailbreak tweak known as Eyeplugs you can disable banner notifications when using a specific app on your jailbroken iOS 10 device. Usually when you receive a notification, it is displayed as a banner at the top of your device's screen. For some users it can be really annoying especially when playing favorite game or watching a video and continuously receive notifications.
How To Disable Banner Notifications When Using A Specific App In iOS 10
Eyeplugs tweak allows you to disable unwanted notification banners from getting in the way within a specific app. For example, you can disable banner notifications in the Music app such that when you receive any notification while using the app, it will not be displayed. Of course you can do it for any other app on your device.
So if you want to get the ability to disable banner notifications when using a specific app then go to Cydia BigBoss repository and grab Eyeplugs for free. The tweak supports only jailbroken iOS 10 devices.
Once Eyeplugs is installed, it will add its preferences pane in Settings where you can configure the tweak. Preferences pane is divided into two sections: the first allows you to designate specific apps that you don’t want to receive banner notifications in; the second one allows you to turn on/off the summary notification banner that you would normally receive after leaving your designated app(s).
This is another useful feature that tweak offers. If any notification is blocked while you’re using an app, the tweak will present you with a short summary of all these blocked notifications that will be shown right after you close that app.
It should be also noted that you won’t even hear alert sounds or feel vibrations when you’re in apps where notifications are disabled. You won’t even know you received notifications unless you have the summary option turned on, which is why it is recommended to leave this setting turned on.
If there’s any app where you don't want to receive banner notifications then you should definitely use Eyeplugs tweak to resolve this problem.
