There are tons of jailbreak tweaks in Cydia that aimed to customize the look and feel of different elements of iOS platform and the recent release allows users to colorize iOS 10 iPhone’s cursor and text selection tools. Known as Moose, this tweak allows you to paint these elements you usually see when editing text in iOS. By default cursor and text selection tools has a shade of blue on any stock iDevice, but now you can change their look.
How To Colorize iPhone’s Cursor And Text Selection Tools
To get started navigate to Cydia’s BigBoss repo and download Moose tweak for free. Once installed, the tweak will setup a dedicated a preferences pane to the Settings app. From there you can enable /disable the colorization effects and pick your favorite color:
This tweak is really easy in use, because it utilizes libcolorpicker instead of a usual color list, so you have an infinite selection colors to choose from. This means you can play with colors and various shades you want. It even allows you to pick custom alpha levels or enter specific color hex codes.
Once you're done with color selection you don't need to respring your device to save your changes. However it is recommended to force-quit any apps that would be affected by Moose tweak from the App Switcher and re-launch them in order to save the changes you’ve set.
You shouldn’t expect the tweak will bring any new enhancements to improve editing text feature on your jailbrken device as like many their colorization tweaks, Moose is just an aesthetic tools that colorizes your iOS 10 iPhone’s cursor text selection tools. However, if you like theming, Moose tweak will be a nice addition to have because it adds an additional level of customizations making your jailbroken device brighter and more colorful.
