How To Enable Two-Factor Authentication For Instagram In iOS 10

If you take care about security you can enable Two-Factor authentication for Instagram on iPhone. Every day using your Instagram app you share photos, videos, post Stories, direct messages, broadcast live videos and more. While Instagram allows you to make your profile private, it is important to ensure that your account is kept secure and protected from unauthorized access.

As a security precaution, Instagram lets users enable two-factor authentication for their accounts. By enabling this feature, Instagram makes sure that the person logging into your account is actually you and not somebody else.

So if you want to enable Two-Factor authentication for Instagram on your iPhone, then follow easy steps below.

How To Enable Two-Factor Authentication For Instagram In iOS

Step 1: Make sure to update Instagram to the latest version. Then, launch it on your iOS 10 device.

Step 2: Now, tap on the profile button at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Clic on the gear icon in the top right corner to launch settings.

Step 4: Next up, tap on Two-Factor Authentication which is under Account section.

Step 5: Now, turn on the switch next to Require security code > Tap on Add Number in the pop-up.

Step 6: Enter your mobile number and Tap on Next.

Step 7: Instagram will text you a 6-digit verification number. Enter it to verify your account.

Step 8: Instagram will then send you text with a six-digit code to make sure it’s really you making the request, then give you the option to screenshot a set of backup codes in case you need access somewhere without phone service.

Two-Factor Authentication for your Instagram account is successfully enabled.

Once you have enabled this feature, you need to enter a security code sent to your associated phone number when the next time you log into your account. Now whenever someone attempts to log into your account without entering this security code, they cannot access your account.

By enabling Two-Factor Authentication feature, you are enhancing the securing of your Instagram account to prevent unauthorized people to get access to your private content.
