WAStatusVolume Enables WhatsApp-Inspired Volume HUD In iOS 10

There are many tweaks in Cydia that aim to bring various solutions for changing the ugly stock volume HUD look in iOS, and the recent release enables a WhatsApp-inspired volume HUD in iOS 10. Known as WAStatusVolume tweak takes a WhatsApp Messenger-styled approach to make the volume HUD experience better. The tweak takes the same volume indicator you’d normally see in the WhatsApp Messenger app and makes it available system-wide.

On the screenshot example below you can see how the new volume HUD looks like. Not only does this make seeing the volume HUD less of an anger-exacerbating experience, but it helps keep it out of the way so you can see more of what’s happening on your iPnoe's screen, which is perfect playing games and watching videos.

So to get the option to enable a WhatsApp-inspired volume HUD in iOS 10 you should head over to Cydia’s BigBoss repo and grab it for $0.99. The tweak supports all jailbroken iOS 10, 9, 8 and 7 devices. Right after installation you’ll find an extensive preferences pane in the Settings app from where you can set your configurations.

You can enable/disable the tweak on a demand pick a custom delay period for the volume HUD, set custom colors for the volume HUD, , turn on the volume HUD on the Lock screen, and more…

What I like most about WAStatusVolume tweak is how unobtrusive it is and how it can be placed anywhere on your iPnone's screen. It can be put at any one of your screen’s four corners, or right up at the top center like you see on the screenshot above. So if you don't like the look of the stock volume HUD on your jailbroken iOS 10 device then you should definitely try WAStatusVolume tweak.
